Over the last few weeks, I’ve been on a journey that has deepened my understanding of what it really means to “return to the roots.” Being part of the Return to the Roots Conference was more than just an opportunity to share—it became an invitation for me to pause, reflect, and reconnect with my own beginnings.
When I think about my roots, I think first of my parents. I was raised by two incredible people who modeled love, resilience, and service in ways that left lasting imprints on who I am today. Their example instilled in me a passion for guiding others—whether through teaching, coaching, or simply walking beside someone as they grow into their best self. That connection is the heartbeat of how I choose to serve people.
But returning to my roots has also meant turning inward. Through my work with Blocks to Flow™, I’ve learned how to protect and regulate my nervous system, to listen closely to my own internal guidance system, and to strengthen it with practice and compassion. While I’ve been teaching these principles for years, the past few weeks have reminded me how powerful it is to circle back to the beginning—to remember not just what I teach, but why I love teaching it.
This return to the roots has reignited my joy for helping others find growth in every area of life—whether in leadership, parenting, education, or personal development. It has reminded me that real transformation begins not in constant striving, but in grounding. When we take the time to revisit our foundation, we can step forward with more clarity, strength, and purpose.
I’m grateful for this season of remembering, and for the chance to continue guiding others as I grow alongside them. Returning to the roots is not about going backward—it’s about reconnecting to what matters most so that we can keep moving forward with courage and joy.
✨ I’d love to hear from you: What practices or experiences help you reconnect with your own roots? How do you ground yourself so you can grow stronger? Share your thoughts below—I’d love to continue this conversation.
